Cambodian Beef Skewers

Kreoung BBQ Marinade

  • 2 inch Galangal peeled
  • 3 each Lemongrass stalks cleaned and trimmed
  • 1/2 cup garlic
  • 20 Each Lime Leaf
  • 2 each Shallots Peeled
  • 2 Tablespoons Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon MSG
  • 1 Tablespoon Salt Kosher
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 Cup Oyster Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Fish Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Honey

Beef Skewers

  • 1 Pound Beef Top Round
  • 2 Cups of Kreoung BBQ Marinade


  • Add ingredients into a blender and blend.
  • Set aside and use for marinade of other recipes.
  • Cut the beef against the grain into small bite size pieces.
  • Rub the beef in the marinade and let is sit in a stain proof container with a lid overnight.
  • The next day you take the skewers and soak them in water for 30 minutes.
  • Skewer the meat onto the sticks by weaving it to make sure the meat stays in place when cooked. (Note: you can skewer the meat once you add the marinade and than allow it to marinade)
  • Prepare a grill or in our case an air fryer. The air fryer is set to 400F.
  • Place the skewers on the rack and sear high heat, 2 minutes each side. Remove from oven or grill and enjoy
